CHOOSING YOUR PHOTO
Your photo tells us how your cat LOOKS: coloring, eye color, and essential markings. The pose and scene come from the artwork. A great photo makes a great portrait, so please check these six things:

• FACE THE CAMERA: both eyes, the full muzzle, and both ears visible. (A three-quarter body turn is fine, as long as the face itself is toward the lens, not turned away.)
• SHARP: zoom in on the face: if you can't see individual fur strands, retake it. No motion blur.
• BRIGHT, NATURAL LIGHT: daylight or window light. No dim rooms, lamp glow, or flash; we need your cat's true colors.
• CLOSE, BUT NOT CROPPED: near enough to see facial detail, with the whole head, ears, and chest still in frame.
• THEIR NATURAL LOOK: no costumes, outfits, or accessories. (Collar on or off in the artwork? Tell us at checkout.)
• THE ORIGINAL FILE: full-size, straight from your phone. No screenshots, filters, or photos texted between phones (texting shrinks them).

2. Perfected by hand: your cat is placed into our original artwork, then a real designer matches markings and colors to your photos and retouches by hand. We'll send you a proof to approve within 3 business days of your order
3. Approve & ship: approve your proof or request a tweak within 48 hours (up to two rounds). No reply by then and we'll send it to print as shown, keeping your order on schedule. Once it's printed, it can't be changed. It's produced and shipped to your door

ABOUT OUR PROCESS
Every scene in our shop is an original design, digitally illustrated in a vintage, painterly style. Placing your cat into it isn't a one-click trick: our own custom-built studio software uses AI-assisted compositing to fit your cat into the artwork, and then a real designer takes over: checking your cat's markings and colors against your photos, retouching in Photoshop where needed, and approving every portrait personally before it reaches you. The technology speeds up the process; the judgment, corrections, and finishing are human.

Q: Will it actually look like my cat?
A: We capture your cat's essence: true coloring, eye color, and the essential markings a friend would recognize them by, interpreted in our vintage style. It's an artistic rendering, not a photographic replica. If anything looks off, message us; tweaks are included.

Q: What if I want changes to my proof?
A: Request tweaks within 48 hours of receiving your proof, up to two rounds included free (about 24-48 hours each). No reply within 48 hours and we send it to print as shown, keeping your order on schedule. Once it's printed, it can't be changed, and anything you could have caught in the proof isn't eligible for a refund or reprint. Each round of changes, or any wait for your reply, moves printing and delivery back by the same amount.

Q: When should I order for Christmas?
A: For Christmas delivery (US), order by December 5. That leaves time for your proof, printing, and shipping.

Q: What photos work best?

Q: Can you do two cats?
A: This box fits one gift inspector best. Every portrait in our shop stars a single pet. Two pets? Two portraits hung side by side make a wonderful pair.

Q: How fast will I get it?
A: Your proof arrives within 3 business days of your order, often sooner. One caveat: if your photos don't pass our quality check, we'll message you right away for replacements, and the timeline starts once usable photos arrive. Once you approve it, your print goes into production and ships to your door (delivery estimates show at checkout). Need it faster?
