Your yard, measured first.

This is a set of 40 to-scale plans for a graveyard, sorted by the shape of lot you actually have. Not a mood board. An actual drawing of where each piece goes, how big it really is, and what the whole thing costs.

Leaning stones, an iron fence with a gap in it, and candles along a path nobody has swept in years. There is nothing alive in this one. No monsters, no animatronics, nothing that jumps out. It is the theme for a yard that makes people slow down instead of laugh, and it is the one to pick if the rest of the street has gone loud.

WHAT YOU GET

10 lot shapes: corner lot, wide and shallow, narrow with a porch, L-shaped garage, deep and narrow, split level, sloped, city postage stamp, circular drive, long rural drive.

4 budgets for each one, from a free DIY build up to the whole block knows. Every plan stays under its budget, because a plan that goes over is just a wish list.

A drawn site plan for every combination, to scale, measured in feet from the sidewalk.

A shopping list with real dimensions off the retailer's own listing, real prices, and how many of each you need for your specific yard.

The plug situation. How many outlets, how many amps, and whether it all fits on one circuit.

Five free build plans, more than any other theme here: plywood tombstones with the cut layout and a printable stencil, a plywood crypt facade, a bare branch tree that stands where nothing else will, a ground fog chiller that makes a fog machine work outdoors, and a garden arch dressed as a cemetery gate that stands over the walk so it costs you no lawn.

A hardware list. Cords, timers, hooks, stakes. The stuff nobody puts on a wish list and everybody needs on the day.

THE PART THAT MAKES IT LOOK REAL

Lean the stones. A headstone standing straight looks like a sign; one tipped four or five degrees looks like the ground moved under it. Group them unevenly and set them at different depths. Cemeteries are laid out in tidy rows and then two hundred years happen to them, and it is the two hundred years you are building. The plans say where each stone goes and which way it leans.

Fog is worth more to this theme than to any other, because stones do not move and fog is the only thing on the lawn that does. Chilled through a cooler of ice it sits at ankle height and rolls between them. That build is free and it is in here.

WHICH ONES CAN GO IN THE RAIN

Some pieces are rated by their makers for covered porches only, and the plans say so at every one. Nothing is placed somewhere its manufacturer will not stand behind, so those go under a roof and the open ground gets the pieces rated for it.

HOW IT WORKS

Buy this listing and you get a PDF with your access code, plus one complete sample plan to look at straight away. Enter the code on yardplotted.com and all 40 plans open up, on any device, for a year. Print the one you want.

Because it lives on the site rather than in a zip file, anything I improve during the season reaches you too. No re-buying, no version numbers.

MORE THEMES IN THIS SHOP

Every one is the same thing: 10 lot shapes, 4 budgets, measured lists, nothing over its ceiling.

If this one is not quite your yard:

• ZOMBIES — the same graveyard played loud. Things coming out of the ground rather than staying in it.
• CRYPTID CROSSING — the other restrained one. Warning signs, eyes in the shrubs, and something large standing at the edge of the light.

There are more Halloween themes here, and Christmas ones as well. Christmas plans are up now, which is when people actually plan them. Tap the shop name to see them all.

THE HONEST PART

Every measurement comes off the retailer's own product listing, not off a guess. Product links go through my site and then to the store, I get a small cut, and you pay exactly the same price. Nothing is in a plan because of the commission. Things are in plans because they fit.

This is a digital download. Nothing ships.
