Highlights

A woman stands alone on an empty plain. The dress has gone on breaking, and the pieces trail behind her across the ground. Nothing is coming toward her.

This is Panel II of AS WE ARE, a three-part series about what we carry rather than what we repair. Impasto-style texture, soot black and ash grey, with a single line of gold crossing the sky. The gold is not repair. It is memory.

I kept a place
for what never came.
The distance stayed empty.
So did I.
Neither of us
asked to be filled.

Printing guide (PDF)

All artwork files are high-resolution and prepared at 300 DPI. Four ratios are included so you can choose the file that best matches your frame size.

HOW TO PRINT

Print at home or send to any print shop or online lab. Choose the file whose ratio matches your frame, then print at "Actual size" or "100%". Avoid any setting that fills or crops the page — "Fill", "Zoom to fit", or "Crop to fit" — as these will cut into the trailing hem. If your frame size does not match any of the four ratios exactly, ask your lab to fit the image with a small border rather than crop it.

Matte or textured fine art paper is recommended; the impasto-style texture reads best on matte, and gloss can flatten its depth.

PLEASE NOTE

This is a digital download. No physical item will be shipped. Frames and props shown are for display only. Colours may vary slightly between screens and printers — this is a dark artwork and prints will read a little deeper than your monitor.

LICENCE

For personal use. Print as many times and in as many sizes as you like for your own home or as a gift. Files may not be resold, shared, or used commercially. Copyright remains with the artist.
