Highlights

Sidonie is an old-world inspired female portrait print featuring a woman holding a folio of handwritten ledger sheets, created as large statement wall art for collected European, modern traditional, and warm earth-toned interiors.

Dressed in an extraordinary voluminous garment of muted sage, celadon, cream, and antique gold, Sidonie stands against a softly weathered ochre ground. In her arms she carries a collection of ledger or folio sheets gathered together with a long rust-colored ribbon.

Sidonie’s restrained expression and almost architectural silhouette give the work the presence of historical portraiture, while her exaggerated sleeves and unusual folio introduce something less easily placed in time. The result feels familiar without belonging completely to the past.

Her palette of sage green, parchment, ochre, faded turquoise, rust, and warm gold makes Sidonie particularly easy to incorporate into richly layered interiors.

For interior designers, decorators, hospitality projects, or collectors interested in larger sizes or coordinated works from The Portrait Archive, please contact me regarding your project.

THE STORY BEHIND THE PORTRAIT

Sidonie is part of The Portrait Archive, an ongoing collection in which each woman exists beyond the image itself.
Read Sidonie’s full literary story, curatorial interpretation, and the symbolism within the portrait in The Portrait Archive at www.erinoconnorphoto.com/portrait-archive/sidonie.

Available in large statement sizes for collectors and interior designers.

IDEAL INTERIORS

Sidonie works beautifully in:
Collected European interiors

Modern traditional homes

Old-world contemporary spaces

Warm organic interiors

English and continental-inspired rooms

Quiet luxury interiors

Earth-toned living rooms

Libraries and studies

Designer gallery walls

Layered, historically influenced spaces
Her colors pair especially well with plaster walls, walnut and burled wood, olive velvet, linen, limestone, aged brass, antique rugs, dark pottery, parchment tones, and warm natural finishes.

IDEAL PLACEMENT

Display Sidonie:
Above a credenza or console

Over a fireplace or mantel
In a library or study

Above a sofa
In a dining room

At the end of a hallway

In a bedroom or dressing room

As a large focal portrait

Within a collected salon-style gallery wall
Sidonie is particularly effective at larger sizes because the enormous sleeves, ribbon, handwritten pages, and subtle surface texture become increasingly visible as the work gains scale.

CREATIVE PROCESS

This artwork begins with an AI assisted image generation process and is then individually developed and finished by me using the same visual judgment, digital editing, color work, retouching, compositing, and image finishing techniques that have shaped my professional practice for decades.

My background began in art history and curatorial work before moving into professional photography and high end retouching. I hold an MA in Art History and Curatorial Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and that curatorial perspective continues to inform the way I approach composition, symbolism, color, historical references, and the relationship between artwork and interior space.

The result is not presented as photography. Each piece is a digitally created artwork developed as part of an ongoing portrait collection in which every woman has her own visual language, symbolism, and story.

***Cancellation, Return, and Exchange Policy: Due to the custom nature of our products, we cannot accept cancellations, returns, or exchanges. Once an order is placed, it immediately enters production at our professional lab, which does not allow for alterations or returns. This policy ensures that we can promptly begin creating each unique piece of art.

***Important Note: Please keep in mind that the colors and appearance of your artwork, as well as the frame, may look slightly different in person compared to what you see on your screen. This is due to variations in screen displays and the different materials used for both printing and framing. These subtle differences are normal and contribute to the unique character of the final product.

***All listed dimensions refer to the width by height in inches of the outer frame. The inner image will be smaller to account for the frame and matte. For example, a 16"x20" frame with a 2" matte and 2" moulding will display an image around 12"x16". The aspect ratio will remain nearly the same with minimal trimming. Feel free to reach out for exact image dimensions.

***Order Review: We encourage you to carefully review your order before submitting it. As all sales are final once processed, please ensure that you are certain of your purchase. If you have any questions or need additional information about our products, feel free to contact us before placing your order.
