THE SAME FACT, THREE WAYS
A drill sheet gives a child the abstract form and nothing else, which is fine once they already know the fact and useless before it. Every fact in this book also appears as ten frames and as a jump on a number line. A child who cannot yet see 8 + 5 can count it; a child who can see it gets the picture confirmed, which is how a fact becomes automatic rather than merely correct.

The frames start full at the first number and the second number is struck through, so what is left is what is left.
