A sage green handwoven basket tote from Tanzania. Soft, earthy color, roomy build, made by hand for everyday carry and market days.
Handwoven by a collective of women in Iringa, Tanzania, led by Catherine Shembilu of Vikapu Bomba. Many of the weavers are widows who reshaped a traditional market basket into something fashionable and usable. Each bag takes about a week to make. We're not just selling a bag, we're sharing a culture we love.

- The maker's own label is sewn in, alongside ours
SIZE (approximate): 12.8 in wide x 11.4 in tall x 4.3 in deep (32.5 x 29 x 11 cm). Height does not include handles or straps.
CARE: Spot clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Keep out of prolonged direct sun and standing water to protect the natural fiber and color. Store stuffed with tissue to help it hold its shape between wears.
