This custom 3D printed name plate is printed in two parts that become one: a crisp white backing plate with bold raised letters printed in the same blue-green glow-in-the-dark PLA as my glow stars. Leave it in the light during the day and it charges itself, then glows softly after lights out. No batteries, no cords, nothing to plug in.

It's a favorite for kids' bedroom doors, nurseries, bunk beds, reading nooks, dorm rooms, and desks. It also makes a great personalized gift for a new baby, a birthday, a classroom, or a game room.

HOW IT'S MADE
Each plate is printed to order right here in Massachusetts on my own printers. The white base has smooth rounded corners and is 10 mm (about 3/8") thick, so it's sturdy and lays flat. The bold, rounded, easy-to-read letters are fused directly into the plate, not glued on, so they won't peel or pop off.

HOW TO ORDER
1. Count the letters in your name or word (spaces count).
2. Choose the size that fits.
3. Type the name exactly as you want it printed in the personalization box. I print it exactly as entered, so double-check spelling and capitalization.

CUSTOM FONTS
The listing photos show my standard rounded font. Other fonts are available; message me before ordering for availability and pricing.

THE GLOW
The letters are printed in phosphorescent PLA that charges under any light: daylight, lamps, or a few minutes under a flashlight or phone light for the brightest glow. They glow a soft blue-green that's brightest right after lights out and fades gently over time, just like my glow-in-the-dark stars. Brightness and glow time depend on the light source, charging time and how dark the room is. If you already have my stars, the letters will match.

DAYLIGHT COLOR
In normal room light the letters are a soft off-white with a faint green tint against the white plate. The blue-green color you see in the photos is the glow, which appears in the dark.

HANG IT TWO WAYS
Every plate has two 5 mm round mounting holes, one at each end, so it hangs flat on a door or wall with two small nails or screws (not included). Prefer not to make holes? Four squares of Gorilla brand removable mounting putty are included with every order, ready to use with no kneading needed; press them on the back and stick it right to the door. Test a hidden spot first, since putty can mark some finishes. It also sits nicely on a shelf, dresser, or desk.

GOOD TO KNOW
• Letters only; please no emojis or special symbols. Numbers, hyphens, and apostrophes are fine.
• Made to order. Please allow 3-5 business days for printing before shipping.
• PLA is a plant-based plastic that's strong and lightweight but not for outdoor use in direct sun or heat (keep it out of a hot car and away from heaters).
• 3D printed items show fine layer lines; this is part of the handmade look.
• Colors may look slightly different on screen. The glow is best seen in a fully dark room after a good charge.

CARE AND SAFETY
For indoor decorative use. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep away from high heat. Decorative item, not a toy. Mount out of children’s reach and away from any position where the sign could fall into a crib or bed.
