Highlights

This elegant mid-century English china piece features a warm ivory/cream body decorated with deep burgundy-red floral and scroll motifs accented in gold. The upper edge has Johnson Brothers' distinctive molded/scalloped Old English shape with gold gilt trim, while the twin open handles add a classic formal tableware silhouette.

The underside carries the blue-green "Old English / Johnson Bros / England" crown backstamp.

This pattern is commonly identified as Guildford Maroon, a discontinued Johnson Brothers design produced during the mid-20th century.
