THE FRAME
A black-lacquer frame with a carved antique-gold liner — the same frame that fronts our shop banner. The carving catches light the way real gilding does: shadow in the cuts, warm reflection on the ridges. The frame is baked directly into the file.

**A note on how this is made:** This piece uses AI generative technology (see the "AI" label on this listing). Designed by MT. It's built in three honest layers: (1) the image, generated with models and prompts I built myself, including texture models trained on photographs of real materials from rights-clean sources; (2) the ground — a paper or canvas texture from my own deterministic engine, tuned by hand; (3) the frame — a black-lacquer frame design with a carved antique-gold liner, derived from open-access historical frames (The Metropolitan Museum of Art, CC0) and reworked with AI assistance using texture models trained on my own photographs of real materials. I don't exaggerate what the AI did, and I won't hide it either.

THE GROUND
The texture ground on this piece is one of 9 materials I settled on after comparing 54 candidates across 184 AI-generated works — close to 10,000 pairings, judged by eye, one at a time.

DISPLAY TIPS
