An original 3D-printed 90-degree airflow adapter for a 120mm fan, developed for a real problem on my own equipment. Available as a printed adapter or assembled with a fan and guard.

With fan and guard — $34.99: PETG adapter assembled with one PANO-MOUNTS 120 × 120 × 25 mm, 12V DC, two-wire/two-pin fan and a guard.

Both options exclude equipment-mounting hardware, adhesive, battery and power supply. Assembly hardware connecting the included fan and guard to the adapter is included in the fan package. Suitable 12V power is required for the fan; do not connect it directly to a 24V, 36V or 48V battery. Battery runtime depends on capacity and operating conditions; no specific runtime is promised.

FIT & CUSTOM APPLICATIONS
The supplied adapter has the shape shown in the real-product photos. A 120mm fan size does not establish fit to your equipment. Message us before ordering to confirm mounting dimensions and available clearance. This is an airflow accessory, not a universal-fit mount or guaranteed fix for overheating. A mounting approach without drilling may be possible for your application, but has not been validated for cooling performance.
For a different outlet shape, mounting interface or dimensions, send equipment photos, measurements and your application through Etsy Messages. Custom work is quoted after review and is not included in the standard price.

THE STORY BEHIND THE PHOTOS
My trolling motor began overheating after about 20 minutes of use. With a replacement still a few weeks away, I built this as a temporary personal workaround. I drilled ventilation holes in the upper control-head housing and attached the adapter with 5200 adhesive/sealant, accepting the potential corrosion risk on my own equipment. Photos show this experimental installation; the trolling motor and other equipment are not included. Customer adapters will be printed in PETG.

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION WARNING
Drilling the control-head housing can compromise protection from water and salt spray, letting moisture inside and increasing the risk of internal corrosion, electrical damage and equipment failure. The pictured modification is not a recommended repair or a guarantee of safe or effective cooling. No waterproof or marine rating is claimed for this assembly. Follow the equipment and fan manufacturers’ requirements; do not use a cooling accessory as a substitute for diagnosing overheating.

COLOR CHOICES
Specify your preferred adapter color when ordering. Standard solid PETG colors are included, subject to availability. Specialty colors/finishes are $5 extra per adapter: message before purchasing to confirm availability and arrange the upgrade through Etsy. The purchased fan and guard colors are not customizable. Printed layer lines and minor surface variations are normal.
