Each Wildlight frame is individually created to become part of the artwork it holds.

The frame is hand-painted in colours inspired by the photograph and the landscape in which it was taken. I often include small pieces of the journey too, such as a map showing the location, handwritten field notes, a short poem, or carefully chosen botanical details incorporated into the frame border.

Every piece begins with a walk and a moment of discovery, before continuing through photography, colour, texture and the making of the frame itself.

No two Wildlight pieces are exactly alike.

My aim is to create something more than a framed photograph: a unique piece of artwork that captures the place, the journey and the feeling of bringing home a small piece of the wild.
