Continuum (cast #224) was cast using molten aluminum on a colony of red field ants, also referred to as concrete ants, in Enterprise, Alabama, on September 12, 2026, and finished September 13, 2026. The cast has a single tunnel that spirals out from the main tunnel system. The cast’s name is inspired by a quote by Brownell Landrum, an author, screenwriter, speaker, and inventor. “Life is a continuum; neither black nor white, but a series of shades from light to dark. When the shadow is in front of you, all you see is the darkness and forget the sun is at your back.” Continuum’s wood base measures approximately 5.25” x 5.25”. The cast is 7” wide.
