PATCHWORK WITCH HAT SEWING PATTERN

These measurements represent the finished crown-to-brim seam circumference. Measure around your head where the hat will sit, allowing comfortable wearing room. Choose the larger size if you are between sizes. Thick fabrics may reduce the internal space.

PATCHWORK OPTIONS

Create your patchwork fabric by joining coordinating scraps before cutting the main pattern pieces. Alternatively, applique decorative patches onto a stable base fabric.

Individual patch templates are not included. Patch placement, colours and decorative stitching are your choice.

RECOMMENDED MATERIALS

Medium-weight woven cotton, twill or light canvas, coordinating fabric scraps, firm brim interfacing and matching thread.

Approximate plain-fabric requirements:

• 140–150 cm wide fabric: 1.0 metre
• 110 cm wide fabric: 1.3 metres
• Brim interfacing: at least 42 × 42 cm

Allow approximately 20–30% extra fabric for patchwork, directional prints or pattern matching. Arrange your printed pieces before purchasing fabric to confirm your requirements.

PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS

Download and extract the ZIP files on a computer. Open your chosen PDF in a PDF reader and print at 100% / Actual Size.

Do not select “Fit to Page,” shrink or enlarge.

Print the first pattern sheet and check that the test square measures exactly 50 × 50 mm before printing the remaining pages. Follow the assembly diagrams and match the 10 mm overlaps.

This is a digital sewing pattern. No physical hat, fabric or sewing supplies will be shipped.

Instructions are in English. Basic sewing-machine skills and confidence sewing curved seams are recommended.

Listing images are illustrative styling examples. Fabric choice, patch placement and finishing will affect the appearance of your hat. The pattern creates an angled, bent tip rather than a tightly curled spiral.

Separate crown lining, individual patch templates and accessory patterns are not included. Bands, buckles, bows and other embellishments are optional.

You may sell handmade hats made using this pattern. The digital pattern files and instructions may not be shared, copied for distribution or resold.
