Towboat Christmas Cards, Barge Christmas Cards, Mississippi River & River Country Holiday Card.

Christmas along America’s great inland rivers belongs to the crews on the water and the families ashore. Inspired by the Mississippi and familiar to river communities across the South and Midwest, Downriver for Christmas features a light-trimmed towboat pushing loaded barges past a town dressed for the holiday. A Christmas card for towboat and tugboat crews, barge workers, river pilots and anyone raised around the working river.
The river keeps moving at Christmas.
Warm lights trace the towboat’s decks as its wake spreads across the water. The towboat pushes its loaded barges into the bend beneath a wide orange and violet skydownriver . Along the bank, a church rises above the trees, windows glow and a Christmas tree shines beside the landing.
This Mississippi River Christmas scene carries the character of American river country: work that continues through the holidays, familiar towns along the banks and families whose lives have long followed the river’s schedule.
For the deckhand spending Christmas aboard, the pilot looking ahead to the next bend, the family keeping a light on at home or the retired river worker who still watches every passing tow, it is a familiar world to share at Christmas.
