Custom star map by date: a printable night sky print showing the sky over your chosen city on your chosen day, with Japanese zodiac kanji.
DIGITAL DOWNLOAD: nothing is shipped.
You receive: 4 print-ready PDFs (A4, US Letter, 8 × 10 in, A3) and a zip of 300 dpi PNGs, made for your date and city.
Arrives: in your Etsy account (Purchases) within 2 business days.

A keepsake for a birth, a birthday, an anniversary or the night you met.

★ WHAT YOU GET
• The stars and constellations above your city at that moment, calculated for the date, time and place
• The Moon's phase and age, plus any planets that were above the horizon
• The Japanese zodiac year in kanji with its reading (for example 丙午, Hinoe-Uma, Fire Horse)
• The day's microseason (one of 72) and solar term, in kanji with romaji and an English translation
• Your name or title and a short message, if you like
• Four sizes: A4, US Letter, 8 × 10 in and A3, as vector PDFs and 300 dpi PNGs
• Three paper colors: Ai (indigo), Kinari (natural) and Sumi (ink black)
• The photos show a sample made for a fictional person. The room photos are digital mockups made with an AI image tool; the print itself is a real sample of what you receive. No frame is included.

★ HOW IT'S MADE — PLEASE READ
• The sky is calculated, not illustrated: about 5,000 stars from the Yale Bright Star Catalogue (Bright Star Catalog BSC5P, provided by NASA/GSFC's High Energy Astrophysics Science Archive Research Center, HEASARC), placed for your city and time, with constellation lines by M. van der Sluys (CC BY 4.0). Moon and planet positions come from Swiss Ephemeris tables.
• The Japanese calendar values (zodiac year, microseason, solar term) come from our almanac software, checked against the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan.
• The English wording on the print and the translations of the Japanese terms were written with the help of AI.
• This is not a psychic reading or a horoscope. It is a record of the sky and the calendar for that date. It makes no predictions.

★ WHAT TO SEND
Please fill in the Personalization boxes at checkout. Etsy requires every box, so write "none" in any box you want to leave blank.
1. Name or title for the print, or "none"
2. Date and time, e.g. 18 July 1996, 9:40 PM (the time is optional; without it we show the sky at 9:00 PM local time and note this on the print)
3. City, region and country (we use the nearest listed city)
4. Paper color: Ai (indigo), Kinari (natural) or Sumi (ink black)
5. Short message (up to 80 characters), or "none"
Names and messages can use Latin letters, numbers and common punctuation.

1. Name or title: Emily Carter
2. Date and time: 14 February 2019, 8:30 PM
3. City, region and country: Denver, Colorado, USA

★ DELIVERY
• Made to order and delivered to your Etsy account (Purchases) within 2 business days: four vector PDFs (A4, US Letter, 8 × 10 in, A3) and a zip file of 300 dpi PNGs.
• Digital item: nothing is shipped and no frame is included.
• If we made a mistake, we fix it at no charge. If a detail was entered incorrectly, message us within 30 days and we will remake the print once at no charge.
• For personal use: print as many copies as you like for yourself or as a gift. Please don't resell or share the files.

★ PRINTING
• Print at 100% or "Actual size" on the matching paper: A4 (210 × 297 mm), US Letter (8.5 × 11 in), 8 × 10 in or A3 (297 × 420 mm).
• A home color printer works well on matte paper or card stock. For A3, or for the dark Ai and Sumi papers, any local print shop or online print service gives more even color.
• Colors can look slightly different on paper than on a screen.

★ DOWNLOADING
• You can't download a digital purchase through the Etsy app. Sign in to Etsy on your mobile browser or computer, go to Purchases and reviews, and select Download Files.

★ YOUR DATA
• Your details are used only to make your print and are deleted 30 days after delivery.
