HONEST NOTES
This is the highest-maintenance plan in the series: most of the bed is annuals, sown or planted every spring, and cutting is a 2-3-times-a-week job in summer. Dahlias are tender: in zones 4-6 dig and store the tubers each fall. Dahlia, false Queen Anne's lace and shasta daisy are toxic to dogs and cats (ASPCA). Deer like this bed.
