Gothic Halloween Color by Number: Skull on Mantel, Digital Coloring Page for Procreate

Seller's description

Skull on the Mantel | Premium Gouache Paint by Number for Procreate

A skull rests on an old mantel between white and orange pumpkins. A tall candle burns in a brass holder, dried flowers spill from a dark jug, and ivy trails over the stone.

Skull on the Mantel is a high-detail gothic painting to slow down with, one colour at a time. It comes from my Gothic Halloween collection.

INSTANT DIGITAL DOWNLOAD

This is a digital paint by number for Procreate on iPad. It is not a physical kit: no canvas, paints or brushes will be shipped.

⸻

WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU PAINT

The painting in the photos is exactly the artwork your numbered canvas was built from. No surprises halfway through: every tooth of the skull, every ivy leaf and each dried flower are all waiting in the numbers.

⸻

WHY THIS ONE STANDS OUT

✓ 60 carefully matched gouache colours, so a shadow is four soft tones, not one flat brown
✓ 3,006 numbered zones for a rich, high-detail result
✓ A real paper texture layer that makes the finished painting look painted, not printed
✓ Four gouache brushes included: Flat, Dry Brush, Blender and Chalky
✓ Numbers sit under your paint and disappear as you fill each zone
✓ A Final Check layer that makes any missed area glow bright green
✓ Two Procreate palettes, numbered to match the canvas

⸻

WHAT YOU GET

Procreate
• Skull on the Mantel, full size (A4, 600 dpi)
• Skull on the Mantel Lite (A4, 300 dpi) for older iPads
• Two Procreate palettes: colours 1–30 and 31–60
• Gouache brush set (.brushset): Flat, Dry Brush, Blender, Chalky

Also included
• Six versions of the design in PDF, PNG and SVG: full colour, numbers, red numbers, colour numbers, numbers with palette, outline
• Colour reference sheets: numbered HEX grid, colour list with areas, and a HEX / RGB / HSL table

⸻

INSIDE THE PROCREATE FILE

Paper Texture: real paper grain over everything, set to Multiply
Scheme: the outlines, set as the Reference layer so ColorDrop fills stay inside the lines
Draw here: selected when the file opens, everything you paint goes here
Final Check: switch it on at the end, anything you missed glows green
Numbers Red: on when the file opens, sits under your paint
Numbers Black: classic black digits, switch on instead of the red ones
Preview: the finished painting faded to a ghost, a gentle hint of the next colour

⸻

GOOD TO KNOW

This is a high-detail piece rather than a quick beginner project: 3,006 zones on one page means several relaxed sittings, not a single evening. Made for iPad, so pinch in and every number stays crisp.

⸻

IPAD COMPATIBILITY

Requires the Procreate app on iPad (sold separately on the App Store).

Full size: A4 at 600 dpi, 4961 × 7016 px. The sharpest numbers, best on newer iPads with plenty of memory.
Lite: the same design, layers and palettes at 300 dpi, 2480 × 3508 px. For older iPads, or whenever Procreate limits your layers.

Not sure which one to use? Start with the full size. If Procreate warns about layers or feels slow, switch to Lite. You are welcome to message me before buying.

⸻

HOW YOU RECEIVE YOUR FILES

Right after purchase, download the PDF from your Etsy purchases. It has a link to a folder with all the files, since the Procreate canvas is larger than Etsy allows for direct downloads. No sign-in needed. On iPad, open the link in Safari and save the files you need.

LICENSE

For personal use only. You are welcome to share photos of your finished painting. Please do not resell, share or redistribute the files, brushes or palettes.

The illustration was created by me using AI image generation as part of my design process, then rebuilt as a vector paint by number layout, with every zone, number, palette and brush set deliberately.
