Printable nature advent calendar for families with kids ages 3 to 10: 24 activity cards, one small nature adventure a day.
Each morning your family opens one card and heads out on a small adventure: a pinecone bird feeder, a frost hunt, a sunset on the shortest day. Every outdoor card has a Plan B, so it works with or without snow.

WHY IT WORKS
The calendar bends around a real December. Quick days suit school nights and the long ones fit weekends; only three days belong on their own dates: the meteors on Day 13, the shortest day on Day 21 and Christmas Eve on Day 24. The rest can move, and the swap cards cover storms and busy nights.

GOOD TO KNOW
Most of what you need is already in your kitchen or your yard, and a checklist shows what to gather before December 1. The activities are planned with children, pets and birds in mind: no bread or glitter for the birds, warnings for holly and mistletoe, and a grown-up for the oven and every after-dark adventure.

GOES WELL WITH
