Specifications

May include: Poppyquinn Case Files No 4 Murder Mystery Escape Room Game titled Death wears Tinsel. The game features a snowy department store scene on the cover, with text indicating 1-8 players, 90-120 minutes, and print or tablet options.

CHALLENGING LEVEL · 90 TO 120 MINUTES. A bigger, trickier case for experienced sleuths, with a twist you won't see coming.

Can you unmask a killer before the doors unlock at dawn?

DEATH WEARS TINSEL is a challenging Christmas murder mystery escape room game you print at home or play on a tablet. It's Christmas Eve 1938 at Harrowgate's, a grand department store on State Street, Chicago. A blizzard has buried the city, and the brass doors are time-locked until six in the morning. At half past nine, the night watchman finds the store's beloved Santa dead beneath the 20-foot Toyland tree, a toppled ladder beside him and the gold star in his hand. Everyone says he fell. Mabel at the gift-wrap counter knows better: Barnaby wouldn't climb a kitchen stool. And just hours earlier he told the owner, "Tonight at the party, I'm going to unmask somebody."

Open eleven evidence envelopes. Solve a Secret Santa logic grid, crack an old Pinkerton cipher, piece together a torn 1916 newspaper, decode an elevator operator's shorthand, and build two alibi grids. The first will lead you confidently in the wrong direction. Check each code at the online Answer Desk, with three hints per envelope when you need them.

~ WHAT YOU GET ~
* CASE FILE (34 pages): the cover, How to Play, and Envelopes A to J, full of photo-illustrated evidence
* ENVELOPE K (2 pages): the sealed confession and the Christmas-morning epilogue
* PAPER ANSWER DESK: an offline backup code checker
* HOST GUIDE (4 pages): the opening script, 3-level hints and the full solution
* ONLINE ANSWER DESK: check every code and get hints on your phone or tablet
