The red 33 Stradale, every curve of its body in sharp detail, invites a closer look. Above a desk or in a garage lounge, it's a conversation piece for anyone who knows what that name means.

The subject is a 1968 33 Stradale in red, the road version of Alfa Romeo's Tipo 33 racer. Franco Scaglione shaped it, its 2.0-litre V8 makes 230 PS at 8,800 rpm, and only 18 were built between 1967 and 1969. It was one of the first production cars with doors that open forward and upward.
