Liquid lime lettering, hot pink and violet ripples in the manner of a late-60s concert poster give the artwork presence across a room. The red and gold Miura SV, calm and sharp in front of the swirl, invites a closer look. Above a desk or in a garage lounge, it's a conversation piece for anyone who knows what that name means.

The subject is a 1971 Miura P400 SV in red with gold wheels and sills. Marcello Gandini at Bertone drew it around a 3.9-litre V12 mounted sideways behind the seats; the SV makes 385 PS, drops the eyelashes around the headlamps and gains wider rear arches. 150 SVs were built from 1971 to 1973.

Every car was a drawing before it was a car. We start with the finished car and draw it back to that first decision, until the proportion is honest and the stance is right and you would know it from across the room without a badge.
