Seller's description

How We Hold On is a printable card deck about attachment, the patterns you learned early for staying close to the people you depend on. Those patterns switch on when a relationship feels threatened. A partner goes quiet, a friend cancels, someone seems to pull away, and an old alarm starts running the show.

Most attachment products stop at naming your style. This deck goes further, into where each pattern began, what it's trying to protect, and how people move toward security over time. Researchers call that earned security, and it's possible at any age.

---

WHAT'S INSIDE

The Anxious Pattern: Protest, Hypervigilance, Reassurance, Self-Abandonment, Too Much, Where It Began

The Avoidant Pattern: Deactivating, Self-Reliance, The Phantom, Minimizing, One Foot Out, Where It Began

The Fearful Pattern: Push and Pull, Bracing, Testing, Exposure, Shutting Down, Where It Began

The Secure Pattern: A Secure Base, Asking Directly, Repair, Room to Breathe, Earned Security, Safe Haven

Every card has a plain-language description, an "It sounds like" line showing what people say or think when the pattern takes over, and one question to sit with.

The deck also includes a How to Use guide, a Start Here card on noticing when your attachment alarm goes off, a divider for each pattern, and a closing note.

---

HOW PEOPLE USE IT

Therapists use a card to open a session, to help a client name what happens in their relationships, or as a between-session prompt. It works in individual and couples work.

Couples can each draw a card and talk about which lines sound familiar. It's often easier to discuss a pattern on a card than to describe it in the middle of an argument.

On your own, draw one card at a time. Most people recognize themselves in more than one pattern, and patterns can shift from one relationship to another. The Secure cards come last, because they show where the work is heading.
