Teacher Gradebook App, Attendance Tracker, Report Card Comments (Digital Download)

The gradebook that writes your report card comments.

Classbook is a teacher gradebook and attendance register that runs in your web browser, on your phone, tablet or laptop. It keeps your register, your marks and your notes together, so when report cards come round, it drafts each comment from that student's own marks, attendance and notes.

WHAT YOU GET
• The Classbook web app, with the link and your unlock code on the Start Here sheet
• An offline copy you can keep on your computer (handy if your school network blocks new sites)
• A 2-page Start Here sheet and a 10-page how-to guide
• Free updates: improvements appear the next time you open it

REPORT CARD COMMENTS FROM YOUR OWN RECORDS
• Each student's term mark, best and weakest area, attendance and your notes, pulled in for you
• Pick a strength, the evidence and a next step; the draft writes itself
• The right name and pronouns every time (she/her, he/him, they/them)
• Warm, formal or brief tone, and a Reword button
• Trims itself to your character limit
• Optional Ontario learning skills sentence (E, G, S, N)
• Save and next, then Copy all into your report card system

YOUR GRADING SCALE
• Percent, letters A–F with plus and minus, letters A–E, standards-based 1–4, or Ontario levels (R to 4+)
• Weighted categories, total points, or most recent evidence
• Edit the categories, weights and grade cut-offs
• Switch scales any time: your marks are kept exactly as you typed them

ATTENDANCE IN THREE TAPS
• Everyone starts present: tap only who's late, absent or excused
• Late times stamped for you, reasons optional
• Day, week and term views, attendance rates, CSV export

GRADEBOOK
• Type marks like a spreadsheet: Enter moves down, M for missing, X for exempt
• Terms, class averages, a flag when a mark drops
• Quick marking on your phone, one student at a time

TODAY
• The class on now, with a Take attendance button
• Needs attention: repeated absences, missing work, falling marks, parent calls to return
• Report card countdown, marking pile, birthdays

STUDENTS AND PARENT CONTACTS
• Paste a whole class list at once, straight from a spreadsheet or email
• Contacts, pronouns, IEP and support notes, allergies, birthdays
• A dated log of every call, email and meeting, with follow-up reminders

PLANNER, SEATING AND SUB PLANS
• Your week from your timetable (normal weeks, Day 1 / Day 2 or any cycle)
• Plan a lesson once and copy it to your other sections
• Seating chart, a fair random name picker and random groups
• A printable sub plan built from your timetable, lessons, seating and student notes

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

GOOD TO KNOW
• This is a digital download. Nothing is shipped.
• Works in current Safari, Chrome and Edge, on iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac, Windows and Chromebook.
• It's your own markbook, not a school system: copy comments and export CSVs into your official system. Check your school's policy on keeping student records on a personal device.
• Questions? Message the shop. A human answers.
