🧾 SHOP LEDGER — what your shop sold, what Etsy took, and what you kept.

Etsy's monthly statement lists every sale, every fee and the VAT on each fee, one row at a time. The real statement this was tested on ran to 1,044 rows for one month. Drop the CSV in and it adds them up: what you sold, refunds, each kind of fee, the VAT on those fees, and what reached your account. Add Etsy's Order Items file and what each listing costs you to make, and it shows the margin per listing and a profit for the month.

It reads files. It does not connect to your shop, so each month you download the statement yourself and drop it in. That is the price of nobody else holding a key to your shop.

Built for a euro shop first: Etsy charges VAT on its own fees here, and that VAT gets its own line rather than disappearing into the fees.

✳️ WHAT IS INSIDE

• IMPORT — drop in the monthly statement for each month, several at once, and the Order Items file if you want sales per listing. A month dropped in again replaces itself, so nothing is counted twice. It says where in Shop Manager each file is.
• MONTHS — a year, month by month: sold, refunds, fees, VAT on fees, kept, your costs and profit, with the year's totals. Step between years, or print it.
• FEES — every kind of fee for the year: transaction, processing, listing, Offsite Ads, Etsy Ads, the regulatory fee and postage labels, and the VAT on them, each as a share of sales. Postage labels are left out of Etsy's share, because that is your own postage.
• LISTINGS — units and sales per listing, from Order Items, before any discount. Type what one costs you to make, once, and it shows the margin before fees and discounts.
• OTHER COSTS — materials, packaging, postage and the rest. They come off the month's profit.
• NEEDS ATTENTION — rows it could not read, a month missing between two you have, last month's statement not in yet, and listings with no cost.
• SALES TAX that Etsy collected and passed on is shown on its own, and is not counted as money you sold.

Profit is only as good as the costs you type. A listing with no cost counts as costing nothing, and the app says how many are missing beside the figure.

⚠️ WHAT IT IS NOT:

• IT DOES NO TAX. It shows the VAT Etsy charged on its fees and the sales tax it passed on, as the statement shows them. It does not prepare a VAT or income tax return, and says nothing about what is deductible or owed.
• IT DOES NOT CONNECT TO YOUR SHOP. It is not made by Etsy or affiliated with it. It reads the CSV files you download from Etsy and nothing else: no login, no shop access.
• IT READS ETSY'S FILES AS ETSY WRITES THEM. A statement opened and re-saved in Excel or Sheets has its dates changed, so the app turns it away and asks for a fresh download. If Etsy changes its file, the rows the app cannot read are counted and left out of every total, never guessed.
• IT HAS BEEN TESTED ON A REAL EURO SHOP ONLY. It takes the currency from the statement, but no real pound or dollar shop's file has been through it yet.
• YOUR ENTRIES STAY IN THAT BROWSER, ON THAT COMPUTER. There is no account and no sync, so nothing moves between devices by itself. To move your entries, back up to a file and restore it on the other one. Clearing the browser's data clears your entries too, which is why Back up sits in the top bar.
• IT IS NOT AN APP FROM AN APP STORE. It is one file you keep on your computer and open in your browser. It is made for a computer; opening a downloaded file on a phone differs from phone to phone.

• 1 ZIP file, holding the app (a single HTML file of about 210 KB), a picture guide to every part of it (PDF), and a short Start here note
• Extract the ZIP before you open the app, and keep the file in one place: your entries belong to it
• Reads two of Etsy's CSVs: the monthly statement, and Order Items. Hand it the Orders, Payments or Listings file and it says which one it needs instead
• Amounts show in the statement's own currency

The app is built by my own software, from source written for WendL Studio. No purchased template, no third-party code and no stock design. It makes no internet connection, and the build checks for that before it will write the file. The fonts are open-licence and embedded, so it looks the same on any computer. Each release is produced from a versioned build, so I can tell you exactly which version made your file.
