Original Kimono Geisha on Gold Folding Screens, 20 Bijin-ga Paintings, Frame TV Art

100% original artwork designed in Odawara, Japan. Not a copy or reproduction of old prints.

Graceful geisha in kimono, painted in the style of Japanese Nihonga on antique gold-leaf folding screens.

This set is a quiet gallery of bijin-ga, the traditional Japanese art of beautiful women. Each geisha stands, sits, dances or turns back in front of a gold byobu screen painted with a classic motif: an ink dragon in the clouds, crashing waves, cherry blossoms, cascading wisteria or flying cranes. Every painting carries a small title panel and my signature.
