Bauhaus circles, triangles and fans of fine black lines in the manner of Kandinsky, on warm off-white paper, give the artwork presence across a room. The silver Carrera GT, its roof panels off and seen from above, invites a closer look. Above a desk or in a garage lounge, it's a conversation piece for anyone who knows what that name means.

The subject is a 2005 Carrera GT in GT Silver with its roof panels off. Its 5.7-litre V10 makes 612 PS through a six-speed manual gearbox, the chassis is carbon fibre, and 1,270 were built from 2003 to 2006.

Every car was a drawing before it was a car. We start with the finished car and draw it back to that first decision, until the proportion is honest and the stance is right and you would know it from across the room without a badge.
