Very challenging pattern, I'm still fighting the printer to get a bigger version of the diagram (it's really small, that's my only real complain), but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. Just don't do it in black and 1,25mm crochet as your first venture into filet crochet like I did lol. You MUST read the little filet crochet guide before, don't think you'll be able to wing it without as the pattern itself is made and written for intermediate filet-crocheter !

This is my first filet crochet pattern so I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy it and I specifically picked this pattern because it was so gorgeous I figured I could force myself to finish even if I ended up deciding I never wanted to try filet again. In the end I am really enjoying this project! The tutorial made sense, which is great because the last time I tried a filet project I couldn't figure out how counts worked and it was a mess. I understand now and have had zero issues. I especially appreciated the clear instructions for starting the shawl shape, and the increases. The shaping scared me when I thought it'd just be a chart, but with the instructions it was SO easy to figure out. Additionally the chart is clear, easy to read, and I love how it's not just one big chart too. Great pattern! Definitely planning to get more!
