Needed material:

• fine yarn/ sport/ 5 ply/ 12 wpi/ calls for 3 - 3.5 mm hook
• hook 3.5 mm/ US E
• tapestry needle
• common sewing needle and threads
• scissors
• one white button average 1.5 cm /0.6 inches

I used this yarn:
100% classic cotton yarn Drops loves you #7
Yarn Weight: Sport / 5 ply (12 wpi)
Yardage: 186 yds (170 m)
Unit weight: 50 grams
Gauge (crochet tension): 23 stitches = 4"(10 cm)

The instruction is written for several sizes. From 4 years to teenager/adult depends on the circumference of the head. The slouchy on the pictures is for the head of circumference 51 cm / 20 inches. The hat is airy, crochet with 3.5 hook.

The detailed instruction are written for several SIZES of the hat:
size 4 years, perimeter of the head 49 cm (19,3 inches)
size 5 years, perimeter of the head 50-52 cm (19,7 - 20,5 inches)
size 6/7 years, perimeter of the head 53-55 cm (20,9 - 21,7 inches)
size 8/10 years/adult, perimeter of the head 56 – 58 cm (22 – 22.8 inches)

The size of finished hat depends on used material and your own style of crocheting. Please remember that, if you will use another material, the final size could be different. Also the gauge is very important by crocheting of the hat, so please take the attention to the gauge and make the sample.
