Funny Skeleton Surfer Poster, Retro Beach Art, Coastal Decor (Digital Download)

A sunglasses-wearing skeleton heads down the beach with a vintage surfboard tucked under one arm and absolutely no intention of rushing anywhere.

Behind him, turquoise water rolls onto a bright sandy shoreline while white Mediterranean-style houses climb the hillside in the distance. Palm leaves, bougainvillea and a clear blue sky finish the summer setting.

The oversized BONE VOYAGE lettering gives the artwork the feel of an old vacation or surf poster, while the skeleton keeps it firmly in Funny Bones territory.

The surfboard uses faded cream and coral stripes with a slightly weathered finish. That retro detail fits the typography and keeps the image from looking like a modern surf photograph.

Blue, turquoise, coral, sand and warm bone tones dominate the palette. The colors are bright enough for summer decor without becoming neon or overly tropical.

Although there is a skeleton in the middle of it, this is not really Halloween art. It belongs just as comfortably in beach houses, bedrooms, dorms, home bars and relaxed coastal interiors.

It also works as a gift for surfers, beach lovers, frequent travelers or the friend who is permanently planning the next trip.

Part surf poster, part vacation joke, and one very committed beach bum.
