Out on the wide, dark sea, Wren the whale lifts her head to the Moon and sings — one note… lower… hush. Each page brings one more note, a little lower than the last, and one by one the waves, a little silver fish, the glowing jellyfish and the stars grow slower and stiller, until even the Moon pulls up a cloud and closes his eyes. One gentle rhythm repeats and sinks on every page, with soft breathe-in, breathe-out cues along the way. A calming wind-down story for ages 2–5, made for the last few minutes before sleep.
