5 QUICK ANSWERS BEFORE YOU BUY

1. Do I get Google Sheets* and Excel*?
Yes. You get the Microsoft* Excel* file (.xlsx) and a PDF with a one-click Google Sheets* copy link. Both work the same, and both have Light and Dark themes. There is nothing to install. No macros, no add-ons and no accounts.

2. I'm not a spreadsheet person. Is it hard to set up?
No. A 4-step quick start takes about 15 minutes, and it ticks itself off as you go. You add your names and date, your budget, a first guest list and the checklist. A menu on the left of every tab takes you anywhere in one click.

3. Can I break it by mistake?
Most likely not, and it is never locked. White cells are where you type. Tinted cells fill in by themselves. If you type over a formula, a warning asks you first. If a cell turns red, Ctrl+Z or the Formula Backup tab fixes it in seconds. A health check on Start Here tells you which tab needs a look.

4. Will it fit my wedding?
Yes. It holds up to 500 guests and 50 tables, in any currency. You can add up to three extra events, like a rehearsal dinner, welcome party, brunch, mehndi or sangeet. Rename any budget category, task or list, and hide the tabs you don't need. No date yet? Leave it blank and add it later.

5. Can we plan together, and does it come blank?
Yes to both. Share your copy with your partner, parents or planner, and everyone sees the same numbers. It comes blank, with some starters in place: 14 budget categories, a 113-task checklist, a photo shot list and packing lists. The listing photos use sample data.

Dashboard
A live countdown, total budget, expected cost, paid so far and guests attending. It shows the next six payments due and the next six tasks, plus RSVP and budget charts. There is nothing to type here.

Calendar
A month view of every task, payment and appointment. Pick any month.

Budget
14 ready-made categories. Each item shows the estimate, actual cost, paid and still owed. It also shows if you are under or over. A budget guide you can edit suggests how to split your total. It also shows the room left in each category.

Payments
One row for each deposit, payment or final balance. Due-date alerts show what is overdue, due today or due soon. Track who paid and how. It's safe to sort.

Vendors
Contacts, status, and whether the contract is signed. What each vendor is owed, and when, fills in from your payments. A tip planner and a tipping guide are built in.

Compare
See venues and vendors side by side. It shows the full total, cost per guest and your rating. Then it marks the lowest price and the top rated for you.

Guest List
Up to 500 guests, one row per person. Track households, so you know how many invitations to send. Add side, group, A, B or C list, RSVP, meal choice, food needs, table and the three extra events. There are no formulas in the rows, so you can sort, filter, copy and paste freely.

Seating Chart
50 table cards fill in when you pick a table for a guest. You get a warning when a table is too full. Each name shows the meal, and a live list shows who still needs a seat.

Wedding Party
A list of your wedding party. They also show on the Day-Of Timeline contact sheet.

Gifts
Track your gifts and thank-yous in one list.

Checklist
113 tasks, from 12 or more months out to after the wedding. Due dates are worked out from your wedding date. Tasks are flagged when overdue or due soon, and you see progress by phase.

Day-Of Timeline
An hour-by-hour plan for the day. End times fill in for you, and a warning shows if two things clash. It also has a contact sheet for booked vendors and your wedding party. It's ready to print.

Food & Drinks
Your menu, meal counts and a food needs list for the caterer. A bar calculator covers wine, beer, spirits, sparkling, mixers and ice.
