Flow Blue Plate, Java Pattern, Bishop and Stonier England, Blue and White Chinoiserie Display Plate, AS IS condition

Flow blue plate in the "Java" pattern, with a pagoda and water scene inside a Chinese fretwork ring and a dark scrolling border. The blue is rich and soft, the way flow blue looks. The back has a blue "Java" cartouche with "B & S," likely Bishop & Stonier of England, along with a small blue mark and a red hand-painted mark.

Condition: sold as is, a display piece, not for food use. This plate has real age wear. Please study all photos:

• A hairline crack in the inner fretwork ring on the left side
• A small glaze chip in the center scene
• A worn patch where the pattern is rubbed away at the lower right of the inner ring
• Silvery wear to the gilt on the border
• Staining, spotting and fine lines on the underside, plus some rim wear

Even so, it is still an attractive piece, great for a plate wall or a stand.
