Every Halloween at the stroke of midnight, the Headmistress of Ravenswick Academy of Spells raises the Moonstone Goblet for the Midnight Toast. This year, at the twelfth chime, she shrank — and shrank — into a large, cross, green toad in a pointed hat. Somebody slipped a hex into her goblet. The spell breaks only when the hex-caster is named aloud, so the whole school is locked in the Great Hall until somebody gets it right.
