How long will my order take to arrive?

Every print is made to order. Production usually takes 2–5 business days, and delivery within the US usually takes another 2–5 business days. Orders to Canada, the UK, the EU and Australia are usually printed in or near your region too, and the estimated arrival date is shown at checkout. Delivery to Japan takes about 2–4 weeks from your order. You'll receive tracking information once your print ships.

Where is my print made and shipped from?

We are a small studio in Japan. Your print is produced by our production partner, Gelato, at a print facility close to you. US orders are usually printed and shipped within the US, and orders to Canada, the UK, the EU and Australia are usually printed in or near your region. Orders to Japan are printed overseas (for example in the US or Europe) and sent by international shipping.

Is the frame included?

It depends on the print. Our Museum Collection framed prints (Hokusai's Red Fuji, Black Fuji and The Great Wave; five prints from Hiroshige's One Hundred Famous Views of Edo; and Utamaro's Young Woman Blowing a Poppin) arrive framed and ready to hang, as stated in the listing title. Our Imayo Ukiyo-e cat prints are sold unframed and ship rolled in a protective tube. Frames shown in those photos are for display only.

What if my print arrives damaged or misprinted?

Please send us a message with a photo of the problem, and we will send you a free replacement or a refund. Because each print is made to order, we can't accept returns or exchanges if you simply change your mind.

Are your designs made with AI?

Our Imayo Ukiyo-e designs are original artworks created with AI image generation from our own prompts, then selected, edited and upscaled by us. They are modern designs, not historical woodblock prints. Our Museum Collection prints (Hokusai, Hiroshige, Utamaro) are reproductions made from images that museums and libraries have released of works in their collections, with no AI processing. A few are made from 20th-century woodblock reprints rather than Edo-period originals, and those listings say so. Each listing explains how its artwork was made.

Hokusai's Great Wave, framed and ready to hang. A towering wave curls over three boats of rowers, with Mount Fuji small in the distance. Known in Japan as 神奈川沖浪裏 (Kanagawa-oki nami-ura, "Under the Wave off Kanagawa"), it is the most famous print from his series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji.

ABOUT THIS PRINT
• Reproduction of a 20th-century woodblock reprint of Katsushika Hokusai's design (Japanese, 1760–1849; first published c. 1830–32). This impression is not an Edo-period original: the Library of Congress catalogs it as a modern Shōwa-era reprint.
• Printed from the open-access image of that impression in the Library of Congress, Washington, D.C. (Prints and Photographs Division). We are not affiliated with the Library.
• The full sheet is shown with its paper edges. We did not crop, redraw or use AI on the artwork.
• Our layout adds a warm washi-tone margin and a small Japanese and English caption naming the work and the artist.
