What do I get when I buy a pattern?

You get one PDF file (US Letter size) with a cover showing finished sizes, a DMC floss key with symbols, stitch counts and skein estimates, a page map, a full color chart, a black-and-white symbol chart and step-by-step stitching instructions. This is a digital pattern only. No fabric, floss or physical item is shipped.

What fabric and floss do I need?

Our charts work on any count of Aida or evenweave. The cover page lists finished sizes for 14, 16 and 18 count Aida and 28 count linen stitched over two. All colors are DMC stranded cotton, and the floss key shows how many skeins of each color you need.

How do I download my pattern?

Your file is ready right after payment. On a computer, go to You > Purchases and reviews on Etsy and click Download Files. In the Etsy app, downloads work best from a browser, so open etsy.com and do the same. You can download your file again anytime from your Purchases page.

Can I print the pattern?

Yes. The PDF is made for US Letter paper and also prints well on A4. You can print the color chart, the black-and-white symbol chart, or both, and you can also stitch from a tablet or computer screen.

Can I sell what I stitch from your patterns?

Yes, you may sell a small number of finished, hand-stitched pieces made from our patterns. A credit to House of Needelier is always appreciated. Please don't share, copy or resell the PDF itself, in print or digital form.

What if something is wrong with my file?

Just send us a message through Etsy. If a file won't open, a page is missing or something on the chart looks off, we'll send you a corrected file or help you sort it out as quickly as we can.
