When the sun slips away, Old Round Hill takes a deep breath and begins to hum — hum… lower… hush. One by one the tall grass, Ember the fox, Clover the rabbit, big Bramble the bear and Olive the owl feel the hum beneath them, each one deeper than the last, until even the Moon grows heavy-eyed and the hum sinks into the roots like a heartbeat. Every page repeats one gentle rhythm and lowers it a little more, with soft breathe-in, breathe-out cues along the way. A calming wind-down story for ages 2–5, made for the last few minutes before sleep.
