Pick a recipe for each meal and the spreadsheet adds up every ingredient across the week, scales it to the number of people eating each day, takes off what's already in your cupboard, rounds up to whole packs and sorts it all by supermarket aisle, with an estimated cost against your weekly food budget.

Made in the UK with grams, millilitres and UK supermarket names, and it comes ready to use: 40 family recipes (bolognese, cottage pie, chicken curry, fajitas, roast chicken, toad in the hole, fish pie, lentil dal, banana bread and more) and 110 ingredients with example prices. A US edition ($, ounces and fluid ounces, US names and Fahrenheit) is included. Works in Google Sheets AND Excel.

WHAT'S INSIDE (8 tabs)
- Week Plan: 7 days of breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack or pudding from dropdowns, people eating each day, the food cost of each day, and your week at a glance (shop total, budget, what's left, cost per person per day)
- Shopping List: writes itself from the plan. Needed, in the cupboard, packs to buy and cost, sorted by aisle. Add extras like toilet roll, and tick items off as you shop
- Recipe Card: pick any recipe and how many you're cooking for. Ingredients scale up or down, with the method and the cost
- Recipes: 40 starter recipes with serves, minutes, method, cost and cost per serving. Room for 100 of your own
- Recipe Ingredients: one line per ingredient, picked from dropdowns
- Ingredients: your price list and cupboard. Pack sizes, prices, what you already have, and an always-have tick for salt, oil and spices so they stay off the list. Room for 250
- Settings: people you feed, weekly budget, week start, aisle order (to match your shop) and meal types

HOW IT WORKS
- Download the files from your Etsy Purchases page
- Google Sheets: upload the .xlsx to Google Drive, open it, then File > Save as Google Sheets
- Excel: just open it (Excel 2010 or later, Windows or Mac, or Excel for the web)
- Type in the cream cells. Everything else updates on its own
- A Quick Start PDF walks you through setup in 5 minutes

GOOD TO KNOW
- Plain formulas only: no macros, no add-ins, no subscriptions
- Formula cells are locked so you can't break them by accident (no password, so you can unlock and customise)
- Apple Numbers and LibreOffice aren't officially supported
