The Money Leak Finder is a spreadsheet for anyone who suspects they're paying for things they forgot about: a free trial that turned into a paid plan, a second streaming service, a gym they stopped going to. Paste 2 to 3 months of transactions from your bank or card website. It finds the charges that repeat, works out how often each one bills, and turns it into a yearly cost.

WHAT IT DOES
• Finds repeat charges for you: any merchant that charged the same amount at least twice, whether weekly, every 2 weeks, monthly or every 3 months, plus habits like a coffee every few days.
• Shows the real cost: $9.99 a month is $119.88 a year. Every charge gets a cost per month and per year, added up by category.
• Flags what you rarely use: mark each one Often, Sometimes, Rarely or Never, and the Leak Report shows how much goes to things you rarely or never use.
• Builds your cancel plan: choose Keep, Cancel or Downgrade. The Cancel Plan lists everything to act on, soonest charge first, with an estimated next charge date, so you can cancel before it renews. Mark each one Done and the "Saved so far" total adds it up.
• Name Rules tidy messy bank names, so "SQ *FITZONE GYM" and "FITZONE GYM #0412" count as one gym.
• Other Charges: add yearly renewals and charges on other cards that your download missed.

In the made-up sample household, 23 repeat charges cost $10,519 a year, $1,817 of it for things they rarely or never use, and their decisions save $3,600 a year. Your numbers will be different.

HOW IT WORKS
