INSIDE THE SPREADSHEET
- Setup: business name and address, year, overtime multiplier and the names of your 5 deduction lines.
- Employees: ID, job title, pay type (hourly or salary), rate and pay frequency. Year to date gross, deductions and net per employee.
- Pay Runs: one row per employee per pay period. Hours, overtime hours, other pay and your deduction amounts. Gross pay, total deductions and net pay calculate.
- Pay Stub: pick an employee and a pay date from the drop-downs to get a one-page stub with current and year to date columns, ready to print on Letter paper.

IMPORTANT: TAXES
Tax and deduction amounts are entered by the employer. The sheet only adds and subtracts the numbers you type and does not calculate taxes. Check your local payroll and tax rules; this template does not calculate taxes.

HOW IT WORKS
In Google Sheets choose File > Import > Upload, then pick the file. Type only in the red-header columns and the light yellow cells. Everything else is a formula. Example employees and numbers are invented so you can see how it works; clear them and add your own.
