Seller's description

Long before the scissors, Matisse was already obsessed with pattern.

He grew up in Bohain-en-Vermandois, a Picardy town famous for its bold, experimental silk designs, and carried an "alphabet of arabesque forms" into the fabrics and tabletops behind nearly every still life he painted — decades before he ever picked up a blade.

Here that pattern lives on a sharp chevron-patterned vase against a cobalt field, red tulips and a white daisy rising from it. One small orange bud breaks away from the bouquet entirely, floating alone at the edge of the frame — the one flower doing its own thing.

Where it lives: a dining nook, a reading corner, somewhere that rewards a second glance.

Printed as fine art giclée with special 12-colour printing on luxurious matte, eco-friendly paper. Available in 30×45 cm (12×18 in), 40×60 cm (16×24 in), and 60×90 cm (24×36 in), each finished with a thick white gallery margin. Titled and signed by the artist in the white margin (signature printed) — open edition, never numbered. Sold unframed, ready for your own frame. Made with AI-assisted digital tools, curated and signed by the artist. Printed and shipped by Gelato.
