INSIDE THE SPREADSHEET
- Setup: your name or business, address, contact, the name printed on receipts, receipt number prefix, first ledger month, statement date and late fees on or off.
- Tenants: rent, due day, grace days, late fee, lease start and end (or month to month), deposit held and opening balance. Rent charged, late fees, total paid, balance owed, last payment and status (Owes, Paid up, Credit) calculate.
- Payments: date, tenant, the month it pays for, amount and method (cash, cheque or check, e-transfer, bank transfer and more). The receipt number fills in by itself, with On time or Late and the balance after each payment.
- Receipt: pick a receipt number and get a print-ready rent receipt with amount received, rent period, payment method, balance after the payment and a signature line. Print on Letter or A4, or save as PDF.
- Tenant Ledger: pick a tenant and see rent, late fees, other charges, payments and the running balance month by month.
- Charges: utilities, parking, repairs and other one-off charges.

HOW IT WORKS
Open the file in Excel, or in Google Sheets with File > Import > Upload. Type only in the yellow cells and red-header columns. Everything else is a formula, no macros. The example tenants and numbers are made up so you can see how it works; clear them and add your own.
