Animated Death Counter Widget for Twitch & Kick | Boss Death Tracker for StreamElements and OBS, 10 Themes | Ashen Tally (Digital Download)

TRY IT FIRST: play with the live demo at nymbra.studio/ashen-tally. Die, start a boss and beat it, pay respects, type commands as a viewer or a mod and try all ten themes, right in your browser. No sign-up, nothing connects to your channel.

Installs in about 5 minutes with the START HERE guide, no coding. Bought on your phone? Download from your Etsy purchases on a computer; installing needs one.

A death counter for the hard games that makes every death a moment. Your mod types !death and the number breaks apart and remakes itself in your theme: gilt burns to ash, a blade cuts it in two, a thread snaps and a needle stitches the new count in. Start a boss with !boss and its own count sits under the total; type !boss down when you finally win and the victory plays.

Your chat runs it, so your hands stay on the controller. The count is saved in your own StreamElements account and is still there next stream.

WHAT IT SHOWS

• Your total deaths, big, in the theme's own type.
• Deaths this stream, the smaller number (on or off). A new stream starts after 8 quiet hours.
• The boss you're fighting and the deaths on it, while a boss is on.
• Respects: when chat types F or o7 after a death, each viewer's F leaves a small token for about half a minute.
• A bigger moment every 25, 50 or 100 deaths (or off).

TEN THEMES, EACH WITH ITS OWN DEATH AND VICTORY

• Gilded Dusk: a halo of runes, gilt that burns to ash and relights.
• Bonfire Ash: a campfire that gutters while the number crumbles, then roars back.
• Thread & Lantern: an ink blot and a red thread that snaps; a needle stitches the new number.
• Ink & Steel: rice paper and a vermilion seal; a blade flash cuts the number in two.
• Talisman: a paper charm in smoke that burns away in blue spirit fire.
• Blood Moon: a moon that stains deeper red the more you die this stream.
• Clockwork: brass gears and porcelain flip cards that crack, jam and flip.
• Summit: a pixel mountain at dusk; the number bursts into snow and respawns.
• Moon Thread: a moon dial that turns one phase per death as shears cut a silver thread.
• Cloud & Gold: gold on red lacquer, swept away by golden cloud scrolls.

Two shapes: Banner (wide, 640 × 210) for a corner of your stream, or Crest (square) for a tighter spot.

CHAT COMMANDS, BY WHO TYPES THEM

Your viewers:
• F, o7, FF or press F: pay respects after a death.

You and your mods (or you, mods and VIPs, or only you; your choice):
• !death: one more death. !death +3 or !death -1 to fix the count, !death set 40 to set it, !death undo to undo the last change.
• !boss Pale Warden: start a boss. !boss down: you beat it, the victory plays. !boss off: hide it without a victory. !boss +1, !boss -1, !boss set 12.

Only you:
• !death reset: back to 0 (!death undo brings it back).

A plain !death 40 does nothing, so a typo can't wipe your count, and viewers can't change the number. You can rename !death and !boss.

Already count deaths with the StreamElements chatbot? Switch the widget to bot counter mode and it shows your existing counter and plays the death whenever it goes up, with nothing counted twice.

MAKE IT YOURS

16 settings in the StreamElements panel, no code: theme, shape, the word above the number (Deaths, Tries, Falls or your own), deaths this stream on or off, how deaths are counted, both command names, who can use them, your Kick channel, the bot counter name, a starting count, respects on or off, the milestone, a low-power mode for older PCs, and two preview buttons that play a death and a victory without changing your count.

WHAT YOU GET

An instant download. Your ZIP includes START-HERE.html, widget.html, widget.css, widget.js, widget.json, SETUP.md and LICENSE.txt. Open START-HERE.html first: it has a working practice counter where you can die, beat a boss and pick your theme, then copy buttons that install the four files with your choices already set. SETUP.md has the same steps in plain text. One-time purchase, no subscription, free updates.

WHAT YOU NEED

A free StreamElements account and streaming software with browser sources, such as OBS Studio or Streamlabs Desktop.

• Twitch: commands arrive through StreamElements.
• Kick: type your Kick channel name in the Kick channel setting. Kick moderators count like Twitch moderators, and if you stream to both, both chats count into the same total.

GOOD TO KNOW

• It doesn't watch your game. Deaths are counted by chat commands: you, a mod, or a Stream Deck button that sends !death to chat.
• It's silent, so it never talks over your game.
• Colours vary a little between monitors.

The listing shows the real widget with example names and counts. Abstract listing backgrounds are not included in the overlay. This is a digital download licensed to one streamer and their channels; please do not share or resell the files.
