The Guardian — The black spine is rubbed with pale wear along both edges and at the head and tail, and the front cover shows edge rubbing and softened corners. The back cover is lightly toned with scuffing at the lower corner, and the copyright page photo shows a yellow-brown stain along the top margin. The page block is tanned throughout.
Exile's Challenge — The tan spine shows creasing, rubbing and worn head and tail, with a white price sticker applied near the base. The visible top portion of the front cover has edge wear and a slightly bowed, soft corner. Only the upper part of this book is visible in the front/back group shots, as it sits in the back row.
Storms of Destiny — The purple spine is heavily rubbed and scuffed with lighter crease lines running its length and wear at the head and tail. The front cover has creasing at the top edge and rubbing along the fore-edge, and the back cover is scuffed with a small promotional sticker at the lower left. Page edges are tanned.
The Cursed Towers — The black spine is heavily creased with many white crack lines and worn ends, and the front cover shows a crease and rubbing along the top edge plus bumped corners. The back cover is scuffed with light surface wear around the barcode area. The page block is tanned with some darker spotting along the edges.
The Jackal of Nar (Tyrants and Kings, Book 1) — The black spine shows pronounced white creasing and rubbed, frayed ends. The visible top of the front cover has edge rubbing and corner wear; the body of the cover is blocked by the front-row books in the group photos. Page edges are noticeably tanned.
The Devil's Armor — The pale spine is soiled and rubbed with worn, slightly chipped head and tail and dark edge grime. The visible top of the front cover shows a creased upper corner and edge wear. Lower portions of the covers are hidden behind other books in the group shots.
Throne of Fools (Omaran Saga, Book 2) — The blue spine is comparatively clean but bumped and lightly creased at the head, with rubbing at the tail. The front cover shows edge rubbing and softened corners, and the bright blue back cover has minor scuffing. The interior photo shows a brown stain at the outer edge of the copyright page.
The Decoy Princess — The lavender spine carries a white handwritten-style price sticker near the base and shows splitting or paper loss at the spine tail. Only the upper portion of the front cover is visible, showing edge wear at the top. Page edges are tanned.
All eight are well-read mass-market paperbacks with uniformly tanned, slightly soiled page blocks and varying degrees of spine creasing and edge rubbing.
