Pantry Ledger | Pantry Inventory with Use-By Dates and Shopping List (Google Sheets)

Form to sheet: log it in-the-moment on a Google Form on your phone, and the entry lands organized in your Google Sheet. No app, no re-typing. That's how every Ledger & Light tool works.

Put a can on the shelf, log it. Use the last of the rice, log that too. Your Pantry Ledger keeps a list that matches the shelf.

Your Pantry Ledger is a Google Sheet with a phone form. Open the Log Pantry form, choose the item, choose Added, Used or Counted, and enter the amount. Every entry travels form to sheet and lands as a row on your Pantry Log, and your Items tab works out what is on hand. Log it in-the-moment, standing at the shelf, and the number you see in your sheet is the number you can count on the shelf.

When the shelf and the number drift apart, a Counted entry puts them back together: On Hand becomes the amount you counted, and Last Counted shows the date. Anything that dips to its Low at number joins the Shopping List on your Dashboard, sorted by category, with its place and unit beside it.

The dates in your Pantry Ledger are the dates printed on your own packages, typed in by you. It keeps your list; it does not tell you whether any food is fit to eat.
