BUSH-HAMMERED: Tooled stone

The fine, even pitting of stone dressed with a bush hammer, over the gentle rise and fall of the slab. It repeats without a seam in both directions, so you can tile it across doors, walls and tabletops of any size.

Designed by Roxford Carpentry, a custom carpentry shop in Jacksonville, Florida.

- Faster option: a 1/4 in ball nose at 0.020 in, which leaves shallower, rounder pits
