Highlights

NO-STEAL CHRISTMAS GIFT SWAP: roll to trade or pass gifts; no stealing and no one is out. Every player takes one turn each time around the circle. After everyone has gone twice, all open the gift they hold. Choose the Main Game (two dice) or Quick Game (one die, no adding). Digital download: use an Etsy web browser to download (the app cannot download files); nothing ships. For 8-12 players, plan about 10-20 minutes (an estimate; reading aloud and passing gifts affect the pace). Dice and gifts are not included.

THE 2 GAME OPTIONS
- Main Game: Two Dice. Roll both dice and add them up. Every total from 2 to 12 has exactly one action: trade with a neighbor, trade with the player two seats away, trade with anyone you choose, play matchmaker for two other players, or everyone passes 1, 2 or 3 seats.
- Quick Game: One Die. Roll one die, no adding. Six simple actions for 1 to 6. Simple turns for young kids. Both options have the same number of turns; time varies with group size and help needed.
Pick one game for your party and play it the whole way through. Trades, matchmaker swaps and group passes keep gifts moving, while the host calls each pass so no one is knocked out.

HOW TO PLAY
Seat 4 to 30 players in a circle or around a table, each holding one wrapped gift. Take turns to the left: roll, then read your action aloud and do it; only an Everyone passes roll moves everyone. Every player takes one turn as the circle goes around, then everyone takes a second turn (12 players = 24 total turns). After the last player finishes their second turn, everyone opens the gift they are holding. Every action is a trade between two players or a simultaneous everyone-passes, so every player always holds exactly one gift. A gift can end up back with the person who brought it; that is part of the luck.

The host guide explains left and right, how to pick a trade partner, how the everyone-passes call works, and how to fix mix-ups (a pass the wrong way, a skipped player, a double roll). We checked the printed rules in computer simulations for every group size from 4 to 30; it has not been tested with a live group.
