Hardwood Forest Print | Real Photography, Vintage Engraving Blend (Digital Download)

Evening light in a northern hardwood stand — oak bark, beech leaves, ferns in the understory. The left of the frame is a true field photograph, taken July 31, 2023 in the Hudson Valley; to the right, the same woods finish as a vintage engraving, the forest becoming the sketch it started as.

From a working wildlife biologist's own field archive — no stock, no borrowed images. Pairs with the Golden Eagle and Hidden Owl plates from the same woods.

— REAL FIELD PHOTOGRAPHY — NOT AI PHOTOGRAPHY —
Every print in this shop starts as my own real wildlife photography, shot by me in the field. The animals are real, the places are real, and the photograph is mine. Nothing here is AI-generated photography, and no animal in this shop was invented by a computer. I use digital tools — including AI tools, the way photographers use Photoshop — only to finish my own photographs, blending the true photo with a subtle abstract, vintage-engraving treatment. Photorealism from the field, finished in the studio.
