Saguaro cacti overlooking a quiet Southwestern desert landscape.

An original watercolor painting of a Southwestern desert landscape, with tall saguaro cacti in the foreground, rocky terrain, and warm red cliffs in the distance. The soft blue sky and lighter desert washes contrast with the darker greens of the cactus and foreground vegetation.

I wanted to capture the open feeling of the Southwest, with the saguaros standing against the distant ridges. I kept the background fairly loose and used stronger colors and detail in the foreground to give the painting some depth.

This is an original 8x10 hand-painted watercolor—not a print.

Saguaro Ridge would work well as Southwest wall art in a home with Southwestern decor, or anywhere you enjoy cactus art and desert landscapes. The warm earth tones and soft blues also make it a good fit for a more contemporary setting.

The painting is sold unframed and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.

Framed images are digital mockups provided to illustrate how the painting may look when displayed. The actual painting is shown in the listing photographs.
