What it is
A two-part octagonal trinket box with a chamfered foot and a 45 degree chamfered lid. A recessed lip keeps the lid seated. Both parts print with no supports; the lid prints upside down on its flat top.

Instant digital download. No physical item ships. Images are Blender studio renders of the model.
Finished size: octagon-trinket-vault-base: 85.0 x 85.0 x 34.0 mm (3.3 x 3.3 x 1.3 in); octagon-trinket-vault-lid: 85.0 x 85.0 x 18.2 mm (3.3 x 3.3 x 0.7 in). Interior 79 mm across the flats and 31 mm deep. Lid lip clearance is 0.3 mm.

Printer compatibility
Bambu Lab A1, A1 mini, P1S, P2S, X1C, H2D (3MF ready). Prusa MK4, Core One, Mini, Creality K1, Ender-3 V3, Elegoo and any FDM printer via STL. Minimum bed 89 x 89 mm, height 36 mm.

Recommended settings
Nozzle 0.4 mm. Layer height 0.20 mm. Walls 2 (3 for PETG). Infill 15%. No brim for PLA.

Filament
Navy, black, or marble PLA. A silk gold lid on a matte black base looks especially premium.

Supports
None. Every part prints support free in the supplied orientation.

Print time and grams
Measured on a Bambu P1S, 0.20mm, Bambu PLA Matte, one plate per file: octagon trinket vault base 41m, 34.0 g; octagon trinket vault lid 34m, 30.2 g. Total 1h 15m, 64.1 g. Other printers are estimates and will vary.

Assembly
Set the lid on the base. Optional: a felt disc in the bottom.

Scale notes
Safe range 80% to 150%. Scale both parts by the same amount.

Troubleshooting FAQ
- Lid is tight: Turn on elephant-foot compensation (0.15 mm), or scale the lid XY to 100.5 percent.
- Lid is loose: Scale the lid XY to 99.5 percent.
- First layer will not stick: wash the plate with dish soap and water.
