THE DEADLINES MARYLAND SETS, STEP BY STEP
• The demand to cease and desist names the violation and the fix, and gives at least 15 days to fix a continuing violation (§11B-111.10(b)(2)).
• Within 12 months, the notice of the right to a hearing gives at least 10 days to ask and states the proposed sanction; the hearing is set at least 10 days after the request, in executive session (§11B-111.10(b)(3)-(4)).
• The decision step covers proof of notice and the result in the minutes before any sanction takes effect, and the owner's right to appeal to the courts of Maryland (§11B-111.10(b)(4)-(6)).
